BLA – Feedback Providers | Introduction

I just got this invitation for the BLA, what is the BLA and why did I get an invitation?
What is the BLA and what can I do with it?
BLA stands for Breakthrough Leadership App.
Our mission is to create the conditions for people to break through.
While everyone’s personal breakthrough is unique, all breakthroughs include a personal transformation which comes from deep introspection.
With this transformation, people can go beyond what they thought was possible.
The BLA supports leaders with this introspection and transformation, helping them understand how their beliefs, values, experiences, and learnings influence their behavior at work along seven key dimensions.
Each dimension is made up of enablers and blockers.
Enablers are behaviors we consciously decide to apply, based on reality and applied with courage and compassion.
Blockers are automatic reactions, triggered by fears which may not be based in reality and that cause us to behave ineffectively.
The BLA does this by asking leaders to self-reflect on these enablers and blockers, thinking about how well each enabler describes them on their “best days” and how well each blocker describes them on their “worst days”.
Leaders invite other people – that’s you – to similarly reflect on how well each enabler and blocker describes them. Your responses are averaged, together with everyone else’s responses, to calculate a score. Your individual decisions on the enablers and blockers are never shown to the leader. The leader of course knows they invited you, but they will not know how you responded to the markers, so please do be as thoughtful and as honest in your responses as possible.
Everyone’s responses are collected in a summary report that offers a clear perspective on how others view the leader’s behavior at work. From this foundation, they can start working on the areas in which they most want and need to improve.
