Giving feedback in the assessment
01. How do I move these markers around?
There should be a profile picture at the center of the feedback view that represents the person who invited you to provide feedback. This may be an actual picture of the person, but they also may have chosen an avatar that is not a traditional photograph.
Drag-and-drop each marker closer or further away from the profile picture depending on how well the marker represents the person on their “best days” (enablers) or on their “worst days” (blockers).
The more a marker represents them, the closer it should be to their profile picture at the center of the circle.
The less a marker represents them, the further it should be from their profile picture.
If a marker does not represent them at all (that is, they have never exhibited the behavior described), drop it outside of the furthest ring of the circle.
You need to drag-and-drop all of the markers in each page of the BLA in order to move on to the next page.
02. Will the person be able to see where I placed the markers?
– Short Answer: NO
– Long Answer:
The person who invited you to give feedback sees the AVERAGE feedback they receive. These averages are shown in their personal profile report. They can only see this average after at least three people have completed a feedback session. After three people have completed a feedback, they can also see changes in their personal profile report if/as more people complete feedback.
The person will NOT be able to see where you specifically placed any given marker.
The person is NOT notified if/when you complete the feedback, they can only see how many people have completed the feedback.
03. How do I know if I am working on Enablers or Blockers? Am I meant to be thinking about this person’s Best Days or Worst Days right now?
The feedback process is divided into two parts:
Part 1 asks you to consider how well enablers represent the person on their BEST DAYS.
Part 2 asks you to consider how well blockers represent the person on their WORST DAYS.
- Everyone has good days, and on their BEST DAYS, when they are really unleashing their strengths, how well do key ENABLING “superpowers” represent them? 👍
- Everyone has bad days, and on their WORST DAYS, how much do critical BLOCKING reactions, often representing fears which get in the way of their potential, represent them? 👎
Keep this good day/bad day orientation in mind when you are working through the feedback session.
The colour scheme of the BLA changes based on whether it is asking about good days (blue) or bad days (pink).
04. Can I start a feedback session, leave the BLA, and return and finish it later?
You can leave a feedback session and return to it later via REPLY NOW on your dashboard.
This will bring you back to the last page SAVED in the system.
A page is saved when all the markers are placed and you click NEXT.
👉 If you have only placed some markers on a specific page before leaving, you may need to drag and drop them again.
05. How do I know when I am finished?
✅ At the end of a specific feedback session, the BLA will return to your dashboard and the feedback request will be gone.
👉 If the feedback request is still there, you may not have reached the end of the session.
06. I finished my feedback session, what now?
✅ Once you have no feedback requests on your dashboard, there is nothing more for you to do.
In the future, you might get invited to provide additional comments to the person about their development and/or participate in a new feedback session.
07. I got a reminder, why?
A person collecting feedback can request the BLA to send reminders to anyone they’ve invite who has not finished a feedback session.
When a person requests that the BLA sends reminders, they cannot see who will a reminder.
If you think you finished all of your feedback session, check your dashboard to be sure.
📧 If you received a reminder and cannot find an open feedback session, check with assessment@atrain.com.
