Dr. Joachim Stempfle is CEO and Founder of atrain GmbH. He works with senior leaders, executive teams and organizations that want to transform not only their strategy, structures and processes, but also the way people lead, collaborate and take responsibility.

At the core of his work is the belief that transformation requires more than strategies or operating models. It requires leaders and the people they lead to operate with higher levels of self-awareness, intentionality and courage — so they can collaborate across boundaries and shape uncertainty, rather than simply reacting to pressure.

With more than 20 years of experience as a consultant, facilitator, executive coach and keynote speaker, Joachim has worked around the globe with a broad range of businesses across multiple sectors. He helps organizations create alignment, build leadership capacity, transform culture and activate change from within.

His work combines psychological depth with deep expertise in building practical transformation architectures that enable rapid transformation at scale. This includes building trust within essential leadership communities, creating self-awareness and intentional action, facing reality, creating shared direction, strengthening leadership teams and turning vision and strategy into collective movement.
Joachim has supported large-scale transformation journeys in healthcare, energy, automotive and commercial organizations, including executive alignment processes, top-100 and top-200 leadership programs, enterprise transformation initiatives, leadership summits, and functional and local change initiatives. He also works as an executive coach.

He holds a doctorate in psychology from the University of Bamberg and works in German and English.
